Endoscope Drying Air Compressor

Application spotlight: HIBLOW air pumps used in forced air endoscope drying cabinets

More than 20 million endoscopies are performed each year in the United States.  After the procedure, the endoscopes are sterilized and go through a drying process.  Replacing traditional methods, automated forced air endoscope drying cabinets — powered by an endoscope drying air compressor — are designed to eliminate moisture inside of the channels to prevent bacterial growth and minimize the risk of patient infection.

Forced air automated endoscope drying cabinets require a continuous flow of pressurized air through the scope channels creating the need for a reliable endoscope drying air compressor.  Built to run 24/365, HIBLOW XP Series linear diaphragm air pumps are ideal for the application.   The units have a small profile (5.2”x 8.19”x 7.32”) to easily fit within the cabinets while allowing the pump to breathe.  The XP Series is energy efficient running on less than 57 watts of power.  The pumps are also “whisper quiet” measuring at 35 decibels – important in a medical setting.
